2001 Rotllan Torra Amadis £100 per 6 x 75 – 20 cases offered

“Tasted just before it was bottled, there will be 4,800 bottles of the 2001 Amadis (a blend of 45% Grenache and 20% Carignan from 90-100 year old vines, and the rest younger vine Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot). A sensational bouquet of blackberry liqueur, acacia flowers, crushed stones, and sweet oak emerges from a wine of great purity, layers of flavor, an opulent texture, and a sweet finish. This beauty should drink well young yet age effortlessly for 10-15 years.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Apr 2004, 93-95 points

2002 Leoville Barton at £475 per 12 x 75 – 1 case offered

“Even better from bottle than from cask, and one of the finest wines of the vintage, this dense purple-colored 2002 reveals wonderfully sweet notes of charcoal, fresh mushrooms, smoke, earth, leather, cassis, and cedar. Full-bodied, highly extracted, broodingly backward, dense, and deep, this impressively endowed offering is built for the long term. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2028.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate 2005, 92 points

2003 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Pierre Usseglio at £200 per 12 x 75 – 3 cases offered

“The outstanding 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition is a full-bodied, peppery wine that oozes the character of Provence with its notes of lavender, herbes de Provence, and sweet black cherries and raspberries. Some licorice, saddle leather, and salty sea breeze notes also make it into the character of this full-bodied, concentrated wine which is silky enough to be drunk now or cellared for 10-12 years.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Feb 2006, 92 points

2003 Gruaud Larose at £425 per 12 x 75 – 1 case offered

“The 2003 Gruaud Larose’s dark plum/garnet color is followed by sweet aromas of damp earth, forest floor, herbs, espresso roast, cassis, licorice, and plums. Medium-bodied as well as surprisingly up-front and precocious, it possesses sweet tannin, very nice concentration, and loads of earthy/herbal characteristics intermixed with black fruits, and an attractive, but supple, evolved finish. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate April 2006, 88 points

2006 Grand Puy Lacoste at £340 per 12 x 75 – 10 case offered

“Grand-Puy-Lacoste has produced another classic wine with the creme de cassis fruit that I often find in both Mouton Rothschild and Pontet-Canet, yet both of those vineyards are closer to the Gironde River. This wine has a pure personality, with the aforementioned classic creme de cassis notes, medium to full body, beautiful density, purity, texture, and length. If anything, this recalls a hypothetical blend of their brilliant 1995 and 1996. Tannins are elevated, so patience will be required.  Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate 2009, 92 points

2006 Canon at £365 per 12 x 75 – 10 cases offered

“This elegant, deep ruby/purple-tinged 2006 offers copious quantities of sweet mocha, black cherry, and black currant fruit as well as a hint of powdered rock. A nicely concentrated, medium-bodied, finesse-styled St.-Emilion, it exhibits sweet tannin as well as the potential to evolve for 12-15 years.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Feb 2009, 90 points

2006 Duhart Milon at £495 per 12 x 75 – 1 case offered

“It is no longer an insider’s secret that the investments made by the Rothschild family (of Lafite) in Duhart Milon are paying big dividends. A shrewd Pauillac lover’s delight, it possesses exceptional quality, yet the price remains fair. This blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, only 50% made it into the final blend, displays some of Lafite’s classic notes of lead pencil shavings, cedar, and black currants along with more earthy, roasted herb, and spice box characteristics. Rich, full-bodied, dense, and already approachable, it should evolve easily for two decades. Good value.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Feb 2009, 92 points

2008 Chateauneuf du Pape Chateau Beaucastel at £170 per 6 x 75 – 5 cases offered

“The 2008 Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the few outstanding wines produced in this vintage. More evolved than Beaucastel’s wines tend to be, it reveals a healthy dark plum/ruby color, notes of licorice, meat juices, smoked game, black currants and garrigue, medium to full body, silky tannins, good freshness, surprising depth for the vintage and a long finish. Drink it over the next decade” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Oct 2010, 90 points

2008 Percarlo San Guisto at £225 6 x 75 – 2 cases offered

“The 2008 Percarlo is surprisingly big for the vintage, but it also shows some rough edges that will require bottle age to soften. Still, I am impressed with the sheer depth of the fruit and the wine’s overall length. Percarlo has a way of developing beautifully in bottle, and I have little doubt that will be the case here as well, given the way the wine comes together after a few hours of air. Though not inexpensive, Percarlo is without question one of the very finest wines in the world in its price range. This is a fabulous showing. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028.” Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate June 2012, 95 points

2009 Ferraton Pere et Fils Hermitage les Dionnieres Estate at £230 per 6 x 75 – 5 cases offered

“There are fewer than 200 cases each of the 2009 Ermitage Les Dionnieres and 2009 Ermitage Le Meal. Both are spectacular efforts boasting a blue/purple color along with notes of creosote, acacia flowers, beef blood, blackberry liqueur and licorice. Le Meal reveals greater intensity, but both are spectacular wines capable of lasting 30-40 years. ” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Dec 2011, 96 points
